Anya is a long-term Territorian after arriving in Darwin in 1995 and has over 25 years of directorship experience. Born in country NSW the middle of three daughters Anya enjoyed the freedom of a country upbringing that keeps her grounded.
Anya studied for a Bachelor of Heritage, Museums and Conservation at Canberra University before undertaking creative design and marketing study in Sydney. With experience over 30 years in Darwin, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, Anya is one of the most experience creatives and strategic marketing professionals in the Northern Territory. 
Anya has been a big thinker and had to evolve her own companies to stay relevant, progressive and innovative. She has created many of her own media channels as the publisher of Territory Q Business Magazine which is produced, self-funded and distributed by CES. Anya has pitched on the ABC show Gruen against large national agencies and won. She has experience with brand management, digital marketing, experiential design, events and Indigenous communications.

Throughout her professional career, she has had the privilege of working on communications, brand strategy and media management across an exciting range of clients and projects. She has held roles across many facets of the fast-paced world of PR, social media and content – including on-ground media for international events, managing major influencer campaigns, planning and hosting media trips, executing the PR rollout for national store openings, and implementing events for luxury hotels.

Her experience in projects is at every scale; from helping global tech businesses achieve grassroots consumer coverage, to assisting with the launch of overseas brands into Australia, launching start-up businesses on social media, and coaching businesses on media relations, social media, and brand strategy.

Since December 2014, Michelle has practised as a lawyer in Darwin and since 2017, she has practised exclusively in family law matters.

Michelle is passionate about family law and helping her clients navigate an outcome from what is often a difficult time in their lives.
